Over the weekend, we wanted to do something fun - so we picked up my mom and took a drive down to Half Moon Bay. We were all so excited, had all of the sand toys packed and our beach wear on. Only to be disappointed that the fog was not going to budge for us. It was cold and also a bit windy. The forecast was pretty off. We were bummed, but we had also planned to visit a highly recommended seafood "shack", so after a brief play in the sand, we headed over there for lunch. This place did not disappoint. The hour and a half drive was well worth the food! Mm Mm! After we were done, we headed up to Fort Funston in San Francisco. It's a completely off-leash dog park, beach and hiking area. Kody had a blast running around in the sand. Fort Funston is really popular with hang gliders, which was neat to watch. It was still windy enough to bring out our kite and Patrick showed Maddy how to fly one. We walked around and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. It wasn't the beach day we had in mind, but it ended up being a really fun day!

I think the grey days at the beach are nice, IF you are dressed warm enough! :) I liked the shots you got. The drift wood shot is nice! :)
I miss the beach!
Any day at the beach is just wonderful! Looks like you guys had a wonderful day.
Ooh, how fun!
How fun! P.S. can you tell Maddy to slow down on the growing up thing till we see her next! Thanks! : )
