Maddy's first sleepover

I cannot believe my baby is old enough to have had her very first sleepover! Madison had been waiting and waiting for this day to come. She wanted both of the Annett girls to come over but I wanted it to be special and just about Maddy & Gracie, so I had to explain to her it was just for big girls, so only Gracie would be coming (as if Josh & Elizabeth would have even considered me taking both of their babies anyways!) She would tell everyone "my friend Gracie is spinning the night, but not Addie because she's too wittle"! Then she would proceed to count down the days for them on her fingers. She literally told everyone about it. People at the dog park, the gym, kids at the hall and our family! She was VERY excited! Well, Gracie has become such a big girl, starting kindergarten and all, so we had to wait until she had "spring break". She finally did and we had her over. We started the day off with a trip to the park. Then we came home and painted some Terracotta pots, took baths, had dinner, watched a movie & ate popcorn in bed, made a fort, read a book, sang silly songs and then I patiently waited for the girls to settle down and eventually (11:30!!) fall asleep. For breakfast we had piggy pancakes, baked sugar-cookies-on-a-stick, played dress up, had a little tea party, decorated the cooled sugar cookies with frosting and put them in our painted Terracotta pots. Then it was time to pack Gracie up and drop her back off at home. The girls weren't too happy about this, but they were so pooped out that they both fell asleep on the ride over and there was no drama in the dropping off process - thank goodness!! Overall, it was such a fun couple of days. Madison thoroughly enjoyed herself and we sure hope Gracie did too!
